McClary Sgt. Jason Mitchell age 24 of Fort Carson, Colorado formerly of Fort Campbell, Kentucky and Export, PA passed away tragically from injuries sustained in Afghanistan on Sunday, December 2, 2018. Beloved husband of Lillie Renee (Ashbaugh) McClary. Loving father of Jett Isaac and Jason James McClary; adored son of Raymond & Jolynn Maiolie; brother of Jennifer (Jason) Lorent and Jeffrey (Katrina) Ritter; son-in-law of Eric Ashbaugh and Lillie (Mike) Ayers; brother-in-law of Eric, Ryan, Autumn, and Faith Ashbaugh and Kim Nielsen; also survived by many uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Jason was a hard worker who attained his certification in machining while attending Kiski Area High School. He was a devoted Christian and attended Keystone Christian Church in Export. His hobbies included working on his corvette, riding dirt bikes, and shooting guns. Jason was a devoted father and husband who loved spending time with his family. He received the following decorations during his active military service: Bronze Star, 2 Purple Hearts, Army Commendation Medal with Valor Device, Army Commendation Medal with Service Device, Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Afghan Campaign Medal with Combat Service, Global War on Terror Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, NATO Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal with Combat Service, Combat Infantry Badge, and the Air Assault Badge. Family and friends will be received Monday 1-4 & 6-9 PM at the CORNERSTONE MINISTRIES 2200 Cornerstone Ln., Export, PA 15632 (724-733-0070) where services will be Tuesday, 10:30 AM. Interment with Full Military Honors will follow at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
