Robert L. Laspin

Robert L. Laspin, 89, of Harrison City, formerly of Wilkinsburg, died on Sun., June 17, 2018.  He was born on September 2, 1928 in Grays Landing, Fayette Co., to the late Frank and Madeline McIntosh Laspin. Bob was very proud of his military service in the Merchant Marines during WWII and in the Army during the Korean War.  He became employed with the USPS in 1953 and worked his way to Postmaster in Plum then Swissvale.  He was a member of St. Barbara Catholic Church.  Bob is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Yolanda Gigliotti Laspin; three loving children, Donna Lynn (Philip) Charneskie of Charlotte, NC, Robert Frank (Sandra) LaSpada of Ashburn, VA, and William Craig Laspin of Trafford; five grandchildren, Joseph (Becky) Charneskie, Sara (Adam) Weisner, Stephanie (Joseph) Joyce, Francis James Laspin, Anthony Robert Laspin; and eight great-grandchildren.  Friends will be received Friday, June 22, 2018, from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at Lindsay-Jobe Funeral Home, Inc., 3343 Route 130, Harrison City, 724-744-2721, where a vigil service will be held at 7:30 PM.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, June 23, 2018, at 10 AM at St. Barbara Catholic Church, Harrison City, with Father Michael Sikon, officiating.  Interment with military honors will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Pittsburgh.  www.Lindsay-JobeFuneralHome.com
