Richard "Dick" S. Zdinak

Richard “Dick” Zdinak, of Monroeville, passed away peacefully at 2:20 a.m. on October 31, 2019.  His zeal for life was infectious and nothing pleased him more than gaining the laughter of all those around him.  A native of Weirton, WV, Dick attended the Art Institute of Pittsburgh.  Subsequent to graduation, he started his own business (Dick Zdinak Assoc.) in Pittsburgh in 1972.  He worked as a graphic artist serving many clients in the “City of Champions” for 45 years.  Dick was a man of many interests and numerous hobbies.  In his younger days, he loved to play basketball and softball.  As he grew older his interests turned to games such as Boggle, Jeopardy, and Blackjack.  He pursued these hobbies with way he chased after life, with vigor.  He loved to play and everyone to play with him… as long as he wins.  An avid Pittsburgh Sports fan, Dick loved his home town sports teams, especially the Pittsburgh Steelers.  He shared that love with family and friends.  Whether Dick was your honey, your daddy, your papa, your brother, your uncle, or friend we were all blessed to share in his life.  Dick is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 62 years Irene, brothers John and Larry, five adult children, Rick (Diane) Zdinak, Mary Jo (Jay) Stuckey, Shari (Joe) Beasley, Kathy (Sal) Brusco, Chris (Dee) Zdinak, 15 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.  You will be in all of our hearts forever and we look forward to being together once again.  OTB.  Family and friends will be received Saturday 4-7 p.m. and on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m with Panachida service TBD.
