Age 71 of Apollo, PA, formerly of Turtle Creek, passed away after a brave battle on Friday, September 14, 2018. Beloved husband of 53 years to Lillie Beattie; Loving father of Philip (Toni) H. Beattie, Jr.and Lillie (Mike) Ayers; Cherished Pap-Pap of Eric, Lillie (Jason), Ryan, Autumn, and Faith; Adoring great-grandfather Jett and Jason; Brother of James (Linda) Beattie, Preceded in death by his sister, the late Marion Beattie. Philip was a proud Eagle Scout and member of Local 5 Electrical Union. He was extremely proud to be a foreman in building the Pittsburgh staples of the Carnegie Science Center and IKEA. He will be remembered as a jokester, who was very family-oriented. Family and friends will be received Monday, September 17 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the JOBE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, INC. (MONROEVILLE/PLUM CHAPEL) corner of Beatty Rd. & 48 North, Monroeville (412-856-4747), where a blessing service will be on Tuesday, 12:00 pm. Interment to follow.
