Norma Jean Deemer, 81, of Penn Township, went peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, October 5, 2018. She was born on February 14, 1937 in Greensburg, to the late Gerald and Dorothy Jean (Waugaman) Clemens. Norma was a devoted member of Jeannette Assembly of God and she served her church as a Sunday School Teacher, Sunday School Officer, and a greeter. She retired from Per Se after many years working in medical billing and was a member of Greensburg Senior Life and Penn Township Super Seniors. Norma is survived by her loving sons, Ed (wife Cindy) Deemer and Darren (girlfriend Cindy McCarty) Deemer; grandchildren, Nicole Deemer and Jeremy (wife Carly) Galley; great-grandchildren, Brooke Balest and Gunner Galley; four sisters, Geraldine "Gerry" Clemens, Mary Ann (husband Huey) Loughner, Rose Marie (late Oliver) Christner, and Shirley (husband Barry) Rohm; brother, Peter (wife Kathy) Clemens; brother-in-law, Paul Campbell; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her patents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy "Dottie" Campbell; nephew, Ed Novak; and great-niece, Jill Mariani. Friends will be received Sunday, Oct. 7 from 3-8 PM at Lindsay-Jobe Funeral Home, Inc., 3343 Route 130, Harrison City, 724-744-2721. Additional visitation will be held Monday, Oct. 8 from 10 AM until the time of service at 11 AM in the Jeannette Assembly of God, 246 Pleasant Valley Road, Jeannette, PA 15644. Interment will follow in Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are welcome and will be used according to the wishes of the family.
