MIEN NGOC BUI

Age 49 of Monroeville, formerly of Harrisburg, passed away at home surrounded by his family on July 23, 2018. Beloved husband of Lai Tran. Loving father of Vivian and Melina Bui. Dear son of An Bui and Soi Thi Nguyen. Brother of Phuc and Tuyen Bui, Luc Bui and Chuan Tran, Dien Bui and Sao Do, Huong Bui and Truong Nguyen, Phan Bui and Chinh Trong, Thuy Bui and Het Tran, Vy Bui and Phung Dang, and Dung Bui and Long Nguyen. Uncle to Hien, Hau, Nhan, Tam, Chuan, Thoa, Anh, Duc, Trinh, Quan, Nguyen, Thanh, Dinh, Nhi, Tram, Binh, Nghia, and Duy. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Phai Bui and Bom Tran, and brother, Manh Bui (surviving wife, Be Le). Mien was born in VietNam in 1969. He left VietNam on March 26, 1988 and lived in Hong Kong and Philippines. In 1989 he came to the United States and lived in Harrisburg, PA, where he graduated high school and later attended Harrisburg Area Community College. Following college he worked for the mail operation for Highmark Blue Cross/Blue Shield. He moved to Atlantic City, NJ and worked for Caesar and Harrahs Casino. On March 16, 1999 he married Lai Tran. In October of 2001 he moved to Pittsburgh and in 2005 he became the owner and nail technician for Fast Nails, LLC up until his passing. Visitation will be Saturday from 5 to 9:30 p.m. and Sunday from 3-9 p.m. at the JOBE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, INC. (MONROEVILLE/PLUM CHAPEL) corner of Beatty Rd. & 48 North, Monroeville (412-856-4747).
