Powell Silverton Julia "Maro" age 62 of Monroeville formerly of Penn Hills passed away on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at her residence with her family by her side. Beloved wife of Timothy Powell. Loving mother of Kesha (Dane) David-Battiste, Ainka David, Kefim David, Reynard Powell, Kerwin Powell, and Kairel Powell; stepmother of Brian Riley and Jaison Powell; also survived by 8 grandchildren and 5 brothers and sisters. Julia was a youth counselor for Three Rivers Youth in Pittsburgh for over 25 years. She was an artist in her spare time that loved crocheting and being creative with crafts. Friends will be received Wednesday, June 27th, 10AM -12 PM at the JOBE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, INC. (MONROEVILLE/PLUM CHAPEL) corner of (445) Beatty Rd. & 48 North, Monroeville (412-856-4747). Funeral services will follow at the Church of the Brethren Wednesday, June 27th, at 12:30 PM. Interment will be private.
