JOHN G. KERN

Age 55 of Monroeville, passed away on August 27, 2018. Beloved husband of Kathleen Stage-Kern. Loving father of Casey and Cara Kern. Dear brother of Kenneth (Jolane) Kern, Kathy Kern, Patricia (Sam) Heaster, Robert Kern, and Kimberly (Anthony Zito) Kern. Son-in-law of Joyce and the late Bill Stage. Brother-In-Law to Michael (Monica) Stage, Mary Ann Krautheim, Diane (Jonathon) Fowler, John (Carol) Stage,  James (Gretta) Stage, Sharon (Mark) Jewell, and Patrick (Shannon) Stage. Also survived by many nieces and nephews that he loved dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Virginia (Lorber) Kern. John was a successful business owner for over 35 years in the water/wastewater treatment plant industry. He was an avid local sports fan, especially Penn State, and loved his boxers, Jaxxy and Laila. Most importantly, he cherished his family and was extremely proud of his children.
