John F. "Bennie" Belak, 74, of McCullough, passed peacefully in his home on Saturday, December 1, 2018. He was born on August 28, 1944 to the late John and Dorothy (Long) Belak. Bennie loved his country and was a true Patriot. He was a member of the NRA and Colton Hall. He had a soft spot for animals, especially his beloved dogs past and present, Rocky and Mindy, and Tatar and Lily. Bennie is survived by his beloved wife, Judy Grimes Belak; a son Gary (Karen) Belak; a step-daughter, Sarah (Joseph) Ceccato; grandson, Tyler Belak; sister, Patricia (Edmond) Downing; and mother-in-law, Evelyn Grimes. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Anthony Belak. Bennie's wishes were to have no viewing, but to instead celebrate his life. A party in his honor will be held at a later time in the New Year. Judy would like to thank Excela Hospice for the wonderful and compassionate care given to Bennie in his final days. In lieu of flowers, any memorial contributions may be made to the family to ensure a befitting celebration of his life.
