Age 71 of Monroeville passed away on Wednesday, October 3, 2018. Loving mother of  Tammy Smith, Ronald (Angelique) Smith, Gary Smith, and Patricia (Michael) McAllister. Cherished grandmother of Ryan, Brittany, Amara, Madison, Joshua, Ronald III, and Ashton. Sister of Betty (the late Dick Hartley) Carter and Thomas (Margaret) Carter. Also survived by her nieces and nephews, John, Andrew and Julia. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl Ray and Hazel Mae (Porter) Carter and her nephew, Thomas Steven Rak, Jr. Jettie was a dedicated patient care technician at UPMC Shadyside Hospital, retiring after more than 20 years of service. In her free time, she loved going with her family and friends on casino trips. Family and friends will be received Wednesday, October 10, 2018 from 5:30 p.m. until time of Memorial Service at 7 p.m. at the JOBE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, INC. (MONROEVILLE/PLUM CHAPEL) corner of Beatty Rd. & 48 North, Monroeville (412-856-4747).
