Howard W. "Bud" Lang, Jr.
Age 92, recent resident of Beatty Pointe, Monroeville, formerly of Wintersprings FL and Penn Hills, passed away on Saturday, August 18, 2018. Beloved husband of the late Harriett (Cobler) Lang for 33 years. Loving father of Richard (Cherie) Lang, Tom (Linda) Lang, and Carol (Doug) Klein. Devoted grandfather of 8 and great-grandfather of 11. Dear brother of Betty Rusch and the late Irene Eckenrode. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Howard is predeceased by his parents, Howard W. and Majorie Lang, Sr. Bud served in WWII with the US Navy, serving on U.S.S. Brown in the Pacific. He was a member of the Turtle Creek Masonic Lodge for over 60 years, longtime member of The First United Presbyterian Church in Turtle Creek, where he taught Sunday School and served as a Deacon and an Elder. Bud was also a charter member of Willow Creek P.C.A. in Wintersprings, FL. Bud retired from Westinghouse after 41 years as an electrical engineer. Bud enjoyed playing bridge, was a Pirates and Steelers fan, but his greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and wit. Family and friends will be received Monday 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the JOBE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, INC. (MONROEVILLE/PLUM CHAPEL) corner of (445) Beatty Rd. & 48 North, Monroeville (412-856-4747), where a funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11 am.
