Age 79, a New Brighton resident for most of her life, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, June 17, 2018. Beloved mother of Kenneth (Judy) Pier, Thomas (Charlotte) Pier, Kelvin (Anna) Pier, and Sarah (David) Martin; Devoted grandmother of 11, great-grandmother of 2; also survived by brother James (Miriam) Wade and sisters Louise Hill, Doris Grenier, and Helen Mihalko, and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her former husband Milton Pier, parents, and a brother. Betty was a woman of strong, unwavering faith despite her troubles in life. She dedicated herself to her grandchildren. Family and friends will be received Wednesday, June 20 from 2-4 and 6-8pm at the JOBE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, INC.
