Albert S. Rizzo, Jr.

Albert S. Rizzo, Jr. age 75 of Murrysville, formerly of Monroeville, passed away on November 29, 2018. Beloved husband of Janice (Scully) Rizzo for 53 1/2 years. Loving father of  Lori (Stephen) Henninger and Albert (Dana) Rizzo, III; grandfather of Rebecca, Martina, and Jacob Henninger; brother of  Rose Marie House and  Mary Louise Duerring and also survived by many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents Albert S. and Marie Rizzo.  Albert served with the Navy as a radioman and then owned his own custom drapery business.  He was a Monroeville Police Officer for 24 years and a Fireman with M.V.F.D. at #5 and lifemember at #6.  After retiring from the police force, he worked with ServPro in IT.  Was a GWRRA life member and Blue Knights member.  He also taught scuba diving for close to 20 years.  He was an avid outdoorsman who loved boating, fishing, hunting and camping.  Family and friends will be received at the JOBE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, INC. (MONROEVILLE/PLUM CHAPEL) corner of Beatty Rd. & 48 North, Monroeville (412-856-4747) on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.  The funeral service will be held on Monday, 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel.  Interment to follow at Restland Memorial.  www.jobefuneralhome.com.
