In Loving Memory of Vincenzo Moraca
With heavy hearts, we bid farewell to a beloved member of our family and community. Vincenzo Moraca passed away peacefully at the age of 87 on March 27, 2024. Born in San Mango d'Aquino, Italy, Vince embarked on a journey of craftsmanship and love that spanned over six decades. Arriving in America in 1955, he brought with him not just his skills as a tailor but also his passion for life and family. For over 65 years, Vince devoted himself to his craft as a tailor. His humble shop in Pitcairn became a haven where stories and friends intertwined. Each garment was a testament to his passion and care for those around him. Beyond his tailor shop, Vince was a pillar of love and strength for his family. His adoration for his late wife, Ippolita, whom he cherished and worked alongside for 60 years, was evident in their enduring love story. His pride in his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren knew no bounds, their accomplishments a reflection of his unwavering support and guidance. A master storyteller, Vince delighted all who crossed his path with tales of his homeland, his journey to America, and the joys and sorrows that shaped his life. His words were spoken with warmth, humor, and wisdom, leaving an indelible mark on all who listened. Vince found solace in the simple pleasures of gardening and the beauty of wildlife. His garden was a sanctuary where he found peace and tranquility. Vince will be deeply missed by his loving family, devoted friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Though he may have passed from this world, his legacy of love, craftsmanship, and storytelling will endure for generations to come. May he rest in eternal peace, his spirit forever stitched into the fabric of our Hearts. Vince is survived by his children, Pina (Thomas) McElhaney, Frank (Cathy) Moraca, and Linda (Paul) Capone; grandchildren, Maria, Melinda, Thomas, Krista, Ally, and Isabella; great-grandchildren, Addison, Logan, Jameson, Chloe, and Roman; siblings, Vittoria Moraca and Arturo Moraca; along with nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ippolita (Cuda) Moraca; son, Peter Moraca; parents, Francesco and Filippina (Mastrianni) Moraca; and brother, Pietro Moraca.
