Charles Zekany

Charles Zekany, age 75 of Harmar Township, passed suddenly and unexpectantly while in Lake Worth, FL on Wednesday, March 13 2024. Beloved husband of Faye McKay Zekany of 51 years. Preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Helen Zekany. Survived by brother Donald (Barbara) of Ann Arbor, Michigan, mother-in-law Doris McKay, brother-in-law of Jaye (James) Nannini, Gaye Fairish (Jerry, deceased), Mark (Kathy) McKay. Charles will be dearly missed by all the special nieces and nephews that looked towards him as a father figure introducing fishing, hunting, archery and many other life lessons. In addition, cousins and special friends - Greg & Maria Olson and Ray & Linda Taylor who have shared good times and memories throughout many years.Charles played ice hockey until the age of 45, winemaker known for his signature Merlot, his love of his 1966 GTO convertible and all his vintage car friends.Friends will be received Wednesday, March 27, 2024 from 2:00to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 at Jobe Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 118 Shaw Avenue; Turtle Creek (412.823.1950). Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, March 28, 2024 at 10:00am. Interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery.
